About MMC
MMC was founded in 1999 to provide medical consults and second opinions to catastrophically ill children throughout the world. To date, MMC has performed over 30,000 Specialist Medical Consults via telemedicine in conjunction with 28 US-based tier-one medical centers. MMC is a Four-Star charitable organization that in addition to supporting Pangaea’s processes and a telemedicine network in 108 countries, also operates:
• An FCC-licensed television station, the Medical Broadcasting Channel, with a target audience of 30 million health professionals worldwide, transmitting 24/7/365.
• The MMC Hospital Network, delivering medical video symposia using a high-speed private network, Internet 2, to US medical centers in the USA and 88 other countries.
• The Global Video Library of Medicine, which contains 25,000 hours of medical symposia from 155 tier-one content suppliers and is available to healthcare professionals around the world.
• A high-definition television studio, where MMC produces three television programs aimed at enhancing healthcare knowledge for patients and healthcare professionals worldwide.
