MMC Receives a Four Star Rating from Charity Navigator
Medical Missions for Children is proud to announce that for the second time in as many years, our organization has been awarded a Four-Star rating by Charity Navigator, the leading independent evaluator of charitable organizations in the United States .
A Four-Star rating is awarded to charities that exceed industry standards and out perform other organizations in their cause. Charity Navigator is an independent 501 (C) (3) organization that works to guide intelligent giving. They aim to help charitable givers make intelligent giving decisions by providing information on over four thousand charities and by evaluating the financial health of each of these charities.
Only 12% of all charities that have been rated by Charity Navigator have earned at least two consecutive Four-Star evaluations, indicating that MMC outperforms most charities in America in its efforts to operate in the most fiscally responsible way possible. Medical Missions for Children’s overall four star rating was based on Organizational Efficiency and Organizational Capacity. Charity Navigator determines Organizational Efficiency by evaluating our fundraising efficiency, fundraising expenses, program expenses, and administration expenses.
Medical Missions for children received an overall efficiency rating of 39.65 out of a possible 40 for a four star efficiency rating. Charity Navigator determines Organizational Capacity by examining primary revenue growth, program expenses growth, and working capital ratio. Medical Missions for Children received an overall capacity rating of 22.5 out of 40 for a four star capacity rating.
